Student Support Services

At Kensington Elementary School, we are fortunate to have additional staff to support classroom teachers in assisting students to grow academically, physically, socially and emotionally.

The Guidance Counselor is available one day a week, on Wednesdays, at KES. She supports individual students and small groups of students who are struggling with social and emotional issues that are impeding their learning. The counselor also works in the regular classroom to support social and emotional goals embedded in the curriculum. If you would like to know more about this support service, please talk to your child's teacher.

The Title I program provides students in Grades 4 and 5 with supplementary math tutoring designed to assist them to reach the challenging academic standards expected of all students. The program is funded by federal Title I Part A aid to education. Please click here for more information.
