Cross Country - 4th and 5th grade
Cross Country is finished for Fall 2012
This is our one and only school competitive athletic team. Any child in 4th & 5th grades who is interested is welcome to join. The meets will be a one mile race. Children will run on fields as well as in and out of wooded areas. Cross country is not track…they will be running on some interesting trails. This is for everyone, whether you think you are a runner or not...join we'll have some fun!
If your child has a sport conflict but really wants to run, please talk to Lili Spinoza. It is a fun non-demanding experience and we can work around practice conflicts.
Meets are on Wednesdays after school. All runners must ride the team bus which will leave KES as close to 3:05 as possible. The meets end anywhere from 4:30-5:30 (it all depends when all the teams arrive as to when they start).
T-shirt cost is $10.00. T-shirts are the same as last year, so no need to buy one if you were on the team last year.
We ask that each child pay a $5 fee. This will help wtih team expenses.
**Runners should dress to run...athletic clothes, water bottle, running shoes if possible.
We will be spraying children with bug spray before practice, if this is a problem just let me know and I will do whatever you wish.
